CostPlus Return Policy:

The customer is always right. It’s an old statement but a true one. A repeat customer is what we have built 30 years of business on.

We want you happy with your purchase experience. Returns do happen.  All stocked products typically are returnable without question with the customer being responsible for the returned freight only. If it’s our error we only ask that the containers and boxing be retained and the product reshipped in the same container. We will issue a pick ticket for those products in question. Some of our factories charge a minimal restocking fee on those stocked purchases so call us if there is a problem. We will let you know which of the various factories we represent have restocking fee return programs. It does vary on the product purchased. Factory returns are always contingent on the factory acceptance of the terms of sale. For example, Drive Medical has a very liberal policy on returns. Usually never a problem. However with products that are used in medical situations (example a blood draw chair) the product may have been exposed to blood pathogens or other health hazards so these type of returns become an issue. In those situations the product cannot be resold due to legal resale restrictions. We would ask you to liquidate the product and show pictures of disposal.  

Custom made products- made to customer specifications cannot be canceled once the order acknowledges from the factory. This applies in situations where custom fabric or finish was ordered according to customer specifications. In situations like this if for some reason the color was off we will work with you to find another buyer and to sell off the unwanted goods. We only ask you hold on to the shipment while we find another buyer.

 Factory defects- Return to factory is free of charge and without penalty.  In established cases where there is a factory defects we extend 100% credit and return of goods or disposal. We may offer a factory additional allowance discount or purchase options with customer approval. A credit to your account is made once the return goods arrive at the factory dock location.

Merchandised returned that is unsuitable for resale and NOT in the factory container with existing packing materials no credit may be extended. In these situations it is a total loss for CostPlus Supply and our factory -No credit may be extended. We will however work diligently as a surplus reseller to liquidate the product quickly and with minimal financial impact to all.  Remember to keep the boxes.

Freight Claims:

All shipments should be carefully inspected for damage upon receipt. Any carton damage should be noted on the freight bill or delivery receipt. Concealed damage requires immediate inspection by carrier within 3 days from receipt of goods. CostPlus Supply LLC, Inc. will assist on facilitating a claim on behalf of its customers.  We will assist and work with the carrier and the factory carrier's agent to ensure a speedy resolution to a freight claim as required.

Additional Delivery / Installation Charges:

Use of a lift gate, inside delivery, and white glove installation services are considered additional charges unless noted. Please contact CostPlus Supply on project work costing as we will do our best to ensure the lowest cost, greatest level of service is provided. Typically we conduct a phone call and logistics discussion to provide project management services on how your project will proceed. We would provide a firm installation estimate based on a not to exceed estimate for work defined in the project.  

Installation is the responsibility of the purchaser and/or the installer selected by the purchaser.  If the CostPlus Installation Services are provided we use Titan Logistics as our service partner. They are a bonded, licensed and insured nationwide installation and delivery/ logistics resource. Titan is part of the Atlas Van Lines network of over 1100 nationwide service facilities. Installation this way is a breeze as we own it. CostPlus Supply is not responsible or liable for damage or injury caused by improper installation done by outside non contracted installers, this includes situations or failure of installers to provide adequate fasteners and other support for the load imposed by the weight of cabinets and their contents.

Sales Tax is collected for Illinois, Colorado, Connecticut, and Florida Residents only. 

General terms of service- Payment Terms/ Standard Online Orders:

CostPlus Supply LLC, Inc. accepts PayPal and all major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, AMX and Discover for payment. This transactional business will be handled on the e-commerce site using an approved credit card. Credit information is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Credits are also issued in the same manner posting immediately to your account any overpayments, freight credits or possible vendor credits obtained. Returns and Defective goods are handled in a similar manner in terms of posting to your credit card account any due monies.

Project Orders:

On approved orders over $10,000 CostPlus Supply LLC can establish billing terms with a prepaid deposit. Deposit is calculated by the size of order per the table below. Regular terms are Net 20 days (date of invoice) on approved project work and with deposit.  All invoices are dated the day of shipment. A late payment charge of 1 1/2 % per month, 18% per annum, on past due accounts or the highest amount permitted by law will be assessed on any accounts past 60 days.  

Deposit Schedule:
0-$10,000                             Credit card/ PaPal / ACH gateway only
$10,001-$50,000                  35% deposit required.
$50,001>                              25% deposit required.  

Freight Policy:

All freight charges are FOB factory unless noted as prepaid freight.  When the item specifies *FREE FREIGHT it is for the continental United States only. Shipments outside the continental US will be quoted separately. On transactional business via the e-commerce portal the freight is automatically estimated and is itemized on the quote or reflected in your shopping cart. Prices are determined by zip codes averaging and freight weight and weight class to the area in which it is shipped. All shipments are F.O.B. factory manufacturing location with title of the goods shipped retained by CostPlus Supply until received and signed for upon delivery. All orders will be shipped via best rate carrier available at time of shipment. Factory Warranty Statements:

In all cases CostPlus supply acts as a dealer/distributor of a manufacturer’s product line. The factory holds all product liability. In cases of a factory approved product return the factory warranties apply in all cases.

Fire code restrictions- CAL117/ 133 

Use of Fire Retardant Foam is used in all products unless noted supplied with each CostPlus Supply LLC, Inc. products which meet the specifications for California Technical Bulletin 117. California Technical Bulletin 133 products are available with up-charge and is the customers responsibility to know if these codes apply to your project. Typically the states of CA, IL, MA, and MN follow the CAL133 requirement. However.... when the building has a sprinkler systems and with approval of the local fire marshall  a variance may be approved to utilize only CAL117 approved fabrics and foams and NOT have the additional coverage for CAL133. In all cases it is the customers responsibility to know local code requirements. CostPlus supply is not responsible for situations where the code was violated. No returns will be honored in these situations. We will act as a surplus reseller in those situations to aid in liquidating the product to an area not restricted by these fire code restrictions. CostPlus Supply can provide flame spread fire results of its products on a request basis.
